Dana Hodgdon, Ph.D.
Dana Hodgdon, Ph.D. graduated with a Masters Degree in psychology in 1996 and has held positions at various hospitals throughout Southern California since that time. Dr. Hodgdon received a Ph.D. in Psychology in 2015.
For eighteen years he was a counselor with Torrance Memorial Medical Center where he provided bereavement and end of life therapy. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Hodgdon has had significant experience providing therapy for issues of addiction, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, and bereavement.
Dr. Hodgdon is also trained in trauma recovery using EMDR Therapy. In addition, he provides regular lectures and seminars in the surrounding community on topics such as:
Coping with Stress
Bereavement
Death and Dying
Mindfulness Based Practices
Although Dr. Hodgdon knows family history to be crucial in understanding our current circumstances, his focus is on our strengths, understanding that much of therapy is regaining balance in the face of imbalance.
When he is not working, Dana enjoys fly-fishing, photography, racquet ball, and especially spending quiet evenings at home with his wife.
